Hi I’m Brian Smith and I use light and music to create vibrant moments for modern people who care less about tradition and more about experience for them and their guests.
For me being a the best wedding DJ I can be means dropping the norms of what most people expect when they hear the term ‘wedding DJ’. I get super in depth with my couples to learn more about their experiences with music and how it is a part of their lives. My in depth process is something i have developed over years and is part of what makes me stand out from any other Newport wedding DJ.

Have you worked at our venue before?
I may have or may not have, but for any wedding DJ such as myself, part of the job is being prepared and flexible to work with the nuances of any specific venue. I will always reach out to a venue I have never worked in before to introduce myself and often schedule a site visit.
Are you supportive oF LGBTQ+ WEDDINGS?
Absolutely. Whatever your background or orientation I am honored to work with you. Though uncommon, I will actually not work with venues or other vendors who do not respect love and equality. I’d love to be your Newport wedding DJ.
how do we pick our music?
I use a planning app that is specific to your wedding. Once booked you will be given a link to download your personalized copy. This is the tool we base out music curation around. We’ll have multiple planning meeting to get in-depth with your wedding music selections and to give guidance!
Do you offer Packages?
I don’t believe in one-size fits all packages, because they never are exactly right and are usually only convenient for the DJ company. After a discovery call you’ll be given a custom quote that only includes whats needed and nothing else
Do you offer lighting?
Yes! Lighting is a huge part of what I do, though if you or your wedding planner have hired a professional lighting company I will defer to them. I teach, consult and design lighting for DJs across the country because I passionately believe that your wedding shouldn’t look like your middle school dance.
Are you a member of anY professional associations??
Yes! I am an active member of WIPA Boston (Wedding International Professionals Association) and I serve as the Vice President of Communications for ILEA Boston (International Live Events Association).
